The Scholarship is in recognition of the good relationship between UTS and Taylor's College and the important part Dr Khoo Soo Peng played in establishing the relationship. Dr Khoo Soo Peng was the
President of Taylor's College for the major part of the successful relationship and is a Fellow of UTS. The scholarships honour his outstanding contribution to the partnership.
Eligibility
This Scholarship is available to students from Taylor's College only. Eligibility for the scholarships is based on merit and will be competitive. This is determined from academic performance in the course used as the basis of admission to the UTS Bachelor of Business. The Diploma in Business, Business Foundation Programme and the South Australian Matriculation taught at Taylor's University College are courses that would provide a basis for student application for the scholarships.The criteria for selection for a scholarship is, Diploma in Business and Business Foundation Programme
1. Completion of the course in minimum time with no failures
and
2. Achieve an average grade of 65 or better (scholarship awarded to the applicant with the highest average score above 65)
South Australian Matriculation (SAM)
1. Achieve a minimum TER of 80% (scholarship awarded to the applicant with the highest WAM above 80%)
Selection criteria
The scholarships will be available to successful candidates on enrolment into the UTS Bachelor of Business. Applications must be lodged when applying for admission to the UTS Bachelor of Business. Scholarships recipients are expected to complete studying the Bachelor of Business in Sydney.Taylor's will select and recommend to UTS those eligible for the scholarships to UTS using the UTS developed criteria. The process to recommend those eligible for the Scholarships is yet be finalised. It will be based on UTS International and Fees Office requirements and finalisation of the selection process with Taylor's.
