The essay must be on Canada or have a substantial Canadian component (e.g. a comparative study between Canada and another country/region) and be submitted by an undergraduate student enrolled in any faculty at
universities in Australia and New Zealand. Entries should aim to demonstrate an understanding of Canada. We welcome entries from across a broad range of faculties, however the competition is especially suited to the humanities and social sciences. Students are encouraged to submit an essay which has been prepared as part of their assessment for an undergraduate course. The competition has a cash prize of AUD $1,200.
