UK:Vice Chancellor's Award for Endeavour 2011/12 At University of Glamorgan

Technology blog from Bangladesh

University of Glamorgan scholarships are offered on the basis that they are potentially subject to change in the event of changes to the fee and student support regime applicable in Wales

This generous award of £2,500 recognises truly exceptional students who demonstrate significant personal achievement. You may have engaged in meaningful community activities, demonstrated a keen social and political awareness or overcome a personal issue.

There are no traditional criteria such as where you live, or how much your family earns. Instead, winning this award is based on your personal statement and application to study at Glamorgan. As long as you apply to study a University of Glamorgan course* offered at our campuses in Treforest, Glyntaff or the ATRiuM via UCAS by January 15th 2011, and accept our offer of a place on a firm basis by May 6th 2011 then you will be automatically considered. The University will only consider information supplied by you in your initial UCAS application and we cannot accept any subsequent or additional details once your application has been submitted. Applicants must be a UK or EU student and be applying to study a degree or foundation degree, starting at Level 1. You will not need to make a separate application to be considered for this Award.

Please note – Students cannot receive both the STEM Excellence Award and the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Endeavour. If an applicant appears eligible for both, they will be awarded the excellence award as this is the most financially beneficial.

To be eligible to receive payment, awardees must be enrolled on an eligible course at the time of payment.

Applicants for any University of Glamorgan courses that are offered through, or at, an Accredited College (or any other Partner College or organisation) are not eligible for the above awards. If you have any queries regarding your eligibility please contact the Student Money Service via email at scholarships@glam.ac.uk or call us on 01443 483778.

*Please note that this award is not available for students undertaking NHS funded courses.
