The start of the new academic year also heralds the start of the search for next year’s scholarship candidates. For 2012 the number of TU Delft Excellence Scholarships has been greatly increased.Sixteen scholarships will be awarded by the Justus and Louise van Effen foundation, and another sixteen by the Delft Research-based Initiatives.
New for 2012 will be a further eight scholarships to be awarded by TU Delft’s soon-to-be-founded research themes for Transport, Climate, Process Technology, and Robotics. With these research themes, and with the scholarships connected to them, TU Delft aims to focus on strong and integrated themes, enabling the university to show how it can offer solutions in the worlds of climate, process, technology, transport and robotics.
All in all, TU Delft hopes to welcome a total of 40 new scholarship students in September 2012. With these scholarships TU Delft underwrites the need to invest in scientific top talent. TU Delft thus wishes to contribute to a global network of talented and driven researchers and developers that can
address today’s scientific challenges and help create a safe, healthy and prosperous future for us all.
