
The Microsoft Graduate Women’s Scholarship Program is designed to help increase the number of women pursuing a PhD. Scholarships are awarded to recipients for one academic year only and are not available for extension or renewal.
Applicants must be full-time, female students, enrolled in their first year of graduate program studies with a research focus in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Electrical Engineering. Conference and travel allowance may also be provided for recipients to attend a conference in their field of study.

Procedures
Application Procedures:
Applications must be submitted online via the application tool by eligible university department chairs or their designee. Students may not apply directly. Full application guidelines and procedures are available on the Microsoft Graduate Women’s Scholarship Program page.
Nomination Procedures:
Nominees for the scholarship must be nominated by their universities. A maximum of three applicants per department, per university will be accepted. Nominations are submitted by departments to Microsoft directly.
