
The University of Edinburgh will offer one Master's scholarship for the MSc in Surgical Sciences distance learning Master's programme offered by the University.
The scholarship will have a total value of £3,000 (£1,000 per year) which will be deducted from the tuition fee for the entire part-time programme of study.
Eligibility
The scholarship will be awarded to a student who is accepted for admission onto the MSc in Surgical Sciences distance learning programme at the University of Edinburgh. Applicants must be both nationals of and resident in the following countries:

Applicants should already have been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh and should have firmly accepted that offer or be intending to do so.
Criteria
The scholarship will be awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level or the international equivalent.
Applying
Completed application forms must be returned to Scholarships and Student Funding Services no later than Monday 2 August 2010.

Selection Procedure
A Selection Committee will meet in mid August 2010 to select the scholarship holder.
The winner of the scholarship will be announced in late August 2010.
