These awards were established in 2007 on behalf of sponsors of the ICT Innovation Institute (NZi3) at the University of Canterbury for the purpose of encouraging research in the field of ICT, either in conjunction with a company or with the intention of developing and commercialising a product.

The awards are intended to top up the total emolument of another scholarship to the level of the equivalent NZi3 Masters or PhD Scholarship.

Eligibility

The awards are tenable for study towards a research thesis (Masters or PhD) in the general field of Information and Communication Technology at the University of Canterbury. Candidates must be undertaking thesis research that is relevant to the ICT industry and have already been awarded a scholarship to support this research.

Amount $5,000 per annum
Tenure 3 years
