This scholarship is for the South-African, Argentinean, Brazilian, Canadian, Chilean, Hungarian, Indian, Lebanese, Malagasy, Malian, Moroccan, Mauritanian, Polish, Russian, Senegalese, and Vietnamese candidates.
To support its policies in favor of students' international mobility, the Ile-de-France region has established the Ile-de-France Master's Scholarship, intended to allow institutions of higher education in the Paris region to welcome foreign students, hailing primarily from decentralized zones of cooperation and wishing to follow a Master's program (first and/or second year). The total number of scholarships is determined each year, based on the amount of regional funding available.
Eligibility:
The Ile-de-France Master's Scholarship is open to students from the following nationalities: South-African, Argentinean, Brazilian, Canadian, Chilean, Hungarian, Indian, Lebanese, Malagasy, Malian, Moroccan, Mauritanian, Polish, Russian, Senegalese, and Vietnamese. Bi-national candidates with French nationality will not be given priority. There is no fixed age limit.
Selection Criteria:
Local partners (French embassies, consulates, and other representatives) pre-select candidates from among the best foreign students, taking into account the quality of the student's proposed plan of study and whether he or she has already established contact with potential host institutions. The selection committee will also consider economic factors and will privilege candidates issuing from unfavorable economic circumstances.
Pre-selected applicants will then be considered by the regional commission, presided over by Marc Lipinski, Vice-President of the Ile-de-France regional counsel, in charge of higher education, research, and scientific and technical innovation.
